The Ravenous Beast of Revelation

Cut to a different quadrant of the sea. The water heaves and a massive shaggy bear surges upward, fur matted, steam rising from its flanks. It is grotesquely unbalanced — raised high on its right side, the left haunch low in the water, lurching as it rises. Three enormous blood-streaked ribs are clenched between its iron-yellow teeth, sinew still clinging to the bone. A voice like distant thunder rolls across the scene (implied visually through a shockwave across the water's surface and the bear's reaction): a command to rise and devour. The bear's eyes are small, black, ravenous. It shakes its head, spraying water and red mist. Lightning backlights its silhouette.
